Landscape looking down into a valley from a hill. The hill extends across front of canvas in green, rust and white. On either side, extending up sides of canvas are banks of trees in varying shades of green. They grow wider as they approach the center of the canvas, forming a "V" to look through into the valley. On the valley floor, two farms are visible. The first is in the center midground. It sits on a small plateau. A gray barn with a red silo, a small red outbuilding and a red house are at the left, a larger red barn with connected buildings at right. Between them are scattered trees and a meandering fence over rust and green fields. In the distance, to the right, lies another farm, in red and gray. Between the farms are scattered rows of trees and wide fields. The hills around the valley extend across the background from the left and interject at the right as the valley curves to the right. Hills are done in varying shades and mixtures of blue and green with some tree and rock outcropping detail and patches of sunlight visible. The sky has some long, puffy clouds and is a clear summer blue.Type of Painting
