Maintenance

Maintenance History

Notes

1 - October 12, 1987: paint chip loss in clouds above center clustered chimney pots - this area consolidated by Joan Gorman (ICA) with PVA-AYAA in TOLUENE, 10% (for consolidation of flaking in top quadrant). Keys replaced where needed, acid free backing board secured with screws; reverse of painting vacuumed. 2 - February 9, 1991, ICA lab: Areas of paint loss and cleavage consolidated. Surface cleaned, areas of loss filled and inpainted. Painting keyed out and secured. Backing board and edge stripping applied. 3 - New frame added in 2008

General Notes

Note

This is one of 25 paintings used in the 2008 exhibit "A Period of Perspective - The Art of Gertrude Penfield Seiberling" in the Music Room at Stan Hywet. The majority of these paintings were not framed, and some weren't on stretchers. Thus, new frames were added for the exhibit by Akron Center for Art & Framing, 1915 W. Market St, Akron, OH.
