Japanese Garden during constructionEntry/Object ID
SHH 2008.549Description
Black and white photograph of a waterfall in the Japanese Garden at Stan Hywet during construction. The water fall has just been completed in the first version (1916) of the Japanese Garden and the man in the hat with the drawings is T.R.Otsuka. Because Otuska was here May 8 & 9, 1916 - I think we can safely date the photo. Note the full waterfall is not yet working and mountain is not complete.Photograph Details
