Description

Unfinished. Main ruin is centered just left of center of canvas in the midground. The front facade is made up of three thick columns, done in cream and shaded (left one heavily) in lavenders, greens, plums and dark reds. There are two statues in the spaces between the columns; both are standing figures on pedestals. The left statue is headless and is a purple-brown color. The right statue is whole and is cream with purple shadows. Above, a heavy lintel extends over the two right columns and breaks just at the third. Behind, portions of the rest of the ruin are visible as shadows within the walls. To the right of the columns is tucked another figure, seated on a pedestal, done in purples and greens. In the lower right corner is a block in yellows and greens with some faint detail in magenta on top. Behind it, in the background rises another building in shades of brown, peach and plum. The sky behind is a medium blue-green.
