Image shows construction of Stan Hywet Manor from south west looking up at Music Room wing, West Porch and Library: no windows installed in openings; wooden scaffolding around West Porch area; dirt and stones in foreground; workman visible standing on flat roof of Music Room wing; some slates in place on roof, but primer paper or coating from gable tops down to slate area. In the late 1970's Willard Seiberling has Walter Long print images of Stan Hywet, both old and new, for distribution to his siblings at Christmas 1977, 1978 and 1979. From some of these old images that are new prints, it is apparent that Long printed many of historic images directly from Willard's own glass plate negatives taken in the 1910's and 1920's.Created By
