Description

Typewritten 2 page letter on Charles S. Schneider letterhead from Charles Schneider to Gertrude Seiberling regarding updates on the house. He starts with mentioning Mr. Harvey is eager to complete his contract and is happy his questions will be settled soon. He continues about the colored glass again indicating that no one likes the strong colors and he is going to try removing just the strongest of them to see how they look and they will decide from there. He goes on to mention again Irene's door and states his disagreement in the design she wants, saying that it will be inconsistent with the general design. He ends the letter stating he say Mr. Huber as well as Frederick and Penfield who almost missed the boat, and Mr. Hopkinson. Signed in pen with a handwritten message below "Enclosed are [ill.] views of the [ill.] House at Newport about which I have heard so much. Another Compton Wynyates entrance!"
