Jan. 25, 1913. My dear friend Your very dear letter received. So glad the little “Done Yo’ Listen” song has been a comfort to you. Never mind for one minute what any wicked person could say in an anonymous letter. It is not worth a thought. When something of that kind happens, one feels as if the whole world must be your enemy; but when such a thing does happen, there is only just one person that knows it – that’s the one who wrote the letter. And you know that you have a thousand loving friends. I know how many you have, because I am far enough away to see. You know even friends need a perspective. Believe me to be one of your many devoted and loving friends. Carrie Jacobs Bond Permanent address The Bond Shop Illegible
