Letter: Katherine Bruot to Gertrude SeiberlingEntry/Object ID
A 2025.12.b1.f10.2abDescription
[a] Letterhead printed at the top of the paper says, "Mrs. Katherine Bruot Studio, 440 West Market Street, Akron, Ohio".
The writer starts by wondering what Gertrude is doing today and then says she received Gertrude's card. She says the weather in Akron is "nasty" and later in the letter mentions a March blizzard. She begins talking about a lecture and several concerts she attended and played (possibly organ) in recently, including a concert in Youngstown. She also mentions a Miss Vero not doing well and being upset that she was not paid. She then begins explaining her indecision regarding studying under Mr. Peters in Vienna in the summer. The third page is much smaller paper, and the writer explains that there was a misorder with O'Neil's. She mentions not being in to see Franklin then talks about a girl, Ruth McConnel being a marvel on a (unknown, likely piano) instrument. Ruth will be having her first public appearance on Tuesday.
[b] There is a stamp indicating the envelope was received in Grossmont, California but it is illegible.Subject Person/Organization
