She mentions a violinist named Sammy (Samuel) who chose to be baptized in the Catholic Church and change his name to Sergee, which she says is conceited. She talks about being anxious to see Gertrude and explains why she has not written. She says she plans to send out announcement cards to all her old pupils about her return. She asks for Gertrude's thoughts on how much she should charge her pupils. She mentions going to visit Gertrude's mother and supposes that she is with Mrs. McBride. She explains her plans and then expresses thanks for the "good time you are giving me".
