Dear Aunt Gertrude + Uncle Frank,
Please don’t mind the fantastic arrangement of the envelope which encloses this, because you see the pictures are so very large that I couldn’t manage any other way. I’ve been meaning to send them to you for weeks and weeks, but some way or other things get “put off” too easily at boarding school.
I often think about the wonderful trip we had this Fall. [sic] I am especially reminded of it when I am walking, and come across a beautiful view. The country all around here is very lovely, and inspiring especially when we can see the blue Adirondacks [sic] in the distance.
Are you still thinking at all of sending Virginia here? If you are, and I can do any thing [sic] for you in the way of sending catalogues or providing information, I shall be only to [sic] glad to.
Have you ever heard the Nueisel [sic] quartet? They played for us several days ago, and not for a long time have I heard such really wonderful music.
In a little over a week we leave for Christmas. Time has flowen [sic] so fast since I’ve been in school that I can’t realize at all Christmas is so near. I know you all will have a great time celebrating.
With much love,
I am as ever your niece,
Katherine.Transcriber
