Denver, Colorado, Aug 12 1903
My dear Gertrude: I have been home and in this Hospital for the last five weeks under a severe operation that seems is going to meet my case, [illegible] the Dr wishes me to get out of this altitude and to go with a nurse so I am wondering if we could not go to the Hotel at Hessel I would not want to come to you as I am not equal to being with the children but if I could be some where [sic] near you it would be a joy we would want just one room as I need her near me and we could see you often perhaps, I really donot [sic] know whether there is a Hotel at Hessel but I am impressed there is from what I remember your saying and I feel the air up there would be helpful.-
Could you telegraph to the above address and I will pay the expense and if convenient the price.-
With love to all
Yours
Lulu
