Scope and Content

Green scrapbook containing documents relating to Poncet Davis, President FDR, and President Harry Truman. The cover is green with a flourish-y border and “Scrap Book” written in the middle in simple gold lettering. The documents inside discuss the inaugural dinner for President Harry Truman held at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington D.C. There is also a loose tan Manila envelope containing loose documents related to Truman’s inaugural dinner and letters sent to Poncet Davis.

Loose Manila envelope has been labeled with A 2025.33 and will be stored wrapped up with the scrapbook. The envelope was found inside the front cover of the scrapbook and should remain with the scrapbook going forward. It was removed from the interior of the scrapbook to prevent damage to the scrapbook’s binding.
