Looking down from a path at the edge of a dark woods onto a sunset over a lake. Scene framed by trees. Several trunks discernible (three on left, nine on right). Thicker growth on sides than at top. Foreground shows lush, sun-dappled growth with a brown path down the center. Breaking through trees, at end of path, is a rocky beach with brown plants (beach is in sun). The lake beyond and sky above are blue at left and progresses to a wide area of light peach and then, moving to far right, a deep, rusty orange. Purple and dark blue-green islands visible at left and right through trees. Left island has a long sandbar extending into lake.Type of Painting
