SHH 2005.138Description
A totem pole stands proudly in front of the lake (a scene from the lodge). The totem pole casts a shadow onto the grass, but the sun displays all the bright colors of the pole; greens, yellows, and reds are dominant. A tree stands to the left of the totem polem and a clump of trees is also to the right. The lake can be seen in the background, and beyond the lake, a line of trees and the sky.

Note
This is one of 14 paintings attributed to Gertrude Seiberling or Dorothy Seiberling that were found at the Gate Lodge in 1999. NOTE: Gertrude only signed a few of these, and Dorothy only signed one.
This is one of 25 paintings used in the 2008 exhibit "A Period of Perspective - The Art of Gertrude Penfield Seiberling" in the Music Room at Stan Hywet. The majority of these paintings were not framed, and some weren't on stretchers. Thus, new frames were added for the exhibit by Akron Center for Art & Framing, 1915 W. Market St, Akron, OH.
Framed in March 2019 at Akrona Galleries (1765 W Market St, Akron, OH 44313)
