ARTIST STATEMENT "For me, art is one way that a spiritual connection with my soul is achieved. I believe that “there is not a lot that one may be able to do to live longer, but there is a lot that one can do to make your life one of peace and tranquility.” My work reflects both my Taiwanese upbringing and my life in Canada. I like to combine the two to create landscape paintings of beauty, serenity and inspiration." ARTIST BIOGRAPHY Rebecca Woo is a Canadian painter specializing in landscapes. In 1971 she immigrated from Taiwan. Woo has attended courses at Vancouver's Emily Carr University of Art and Design and she has studied with a number of artists such as David Lange, Neil Patterson, Howard Carr and Alan Wylie. She is a member of the Chinese Artists Association in Vancouver and the Richmond Arts Coalition.
