ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
Born in Oakland, California, Anne Popperwell is a Canadian artist whose primary inspiration is the natural environment. She studied at the San Francisco Art Institute (1968-70). Popperwell works in acrylic and watercolour, using a unique technique of multiple layers of thinly laid colour washes often as many as 50 to 60 layers, creating a distinctive sense of light.
