Bubble tea, also known as pearl milk tea, bubble milk tea and other names is a tea-based drink that originated in Taiwan in the early 1980s. It most commonly consists of tea with chewy tapioca balls or 'pearls". In 2020, the date of April 30 was officially declared as National Bubble Tea Day in Taiwan.

ARTIST STATEMENT "A child views the world with optimism and wonder. That is what I hope to accomplish with my art. Each day, I look forward to creating something new and wonderful. I paint to make people feel good, and put a little joy into their lives." ARTIST BIOGRAPHY Born in Vancouver, B.C., Alex Fong is a Canadian artist from the Okanagan, B.C. whose interest in art began at a young age. His early works showed a traditional oriental technique, later developing into a personal style that reflects a sense of delight. Fong has exhibited at Vancouver galleries, and also as a touring member of the Western Lights Artists Group. He has exhibited in both Canada and the U.S. for over 29 years, and his watercolours are held in both private and corporate collections. He is committed to arts education.
