Description

Woodcut print by Derrick Riley KY Monster Mash Series Monsters Involved: -Lake Monster- Rumored to live in the backyard of my home town in Paducah Kentucky! Kentucky Lake....which believe it or not is the larges man made lake east of the Mississippi, was created during World War II, many farms, homes, towns, roads, and railroads had to be relocated. Many graves were moved, but in the first years following the flooding of the area it was not uncommon for the water to make its way below the lake floor and loosen a lost or forgotten casket and cause it to float to the surface. Many of the old roads are still used with just a small fence stopping traffic from driving into the lake. If a person stands at the end of the road as it goes into the lake they can usually look across the lake and see the road reappear and also used. Sounds like the perfect stomping grounds for a monster to me! -Lizard Man- Spotted off and on for the last 125 years, the lizard man likes to keep a low profile with the exception of sneaking in to Louisville to pick up some tobacco for his corn cob pipe. -Giant snakes- They’ve been spotted all over Kentucky....I hate snakes! -Wolf man- Every full moon, the kentucky werewolf hammers back a six pack of the beast!
