Description

Description from L.A. Brown's 1959 catalog: "There were many types of these tubes through which electric sparks could be passed. They were used to show the various effects of an electric spark or current on gases of different sorts. The tallest of these instruments is twenty-four inches high. The tube on the left has carbon points. These tubes could be filled with various gases and they could be partially depleted of air by means of a vacuum pump."
