Portrait of Colonel James Morrison by Mathew Jouett. James Morrison lived 1755-1823. He was a member of the Transylvania Board of Trustees. Old Morrison is named for him. There is another portrait of Morrison. This portrait is from mid torso, coat is closed. We do not see hands. College also owns three quarter portrait. College has bill from Jouett dated October 2, 1823 for half length portrait of Morrison. Morrison died in 1823.Collection
