White marble relief bust of George Washington Brand by Nicoli. Round, large, medallion-like. According to a June 1 1884, page 9, article from the Louisville Courier Journal it is an alto-relievo. It was received by Mr. Muldoon of Muldoon, Barrett & Co. Marbleworks and had been intended as a present to Brand but Brand died before the gift could be made. The medallion was given instead to his son, John H. Brand.Collection
