Description

Die Ausgrabungen in den Kastell Künzing/Quintana is the 8th volume of the series 'Small studies on the history of Roman occupation in southwestern Germany' in collaboration with the Limes-Museum, Aalen. In Roman Times, Künzing was at the frontier of the Roman Empire. The Romans erected the fort "Quintana" to defend the border. The remains of a wooden amphitheatre close to the Museum belong to the World Heritage "Frontiers of the Roman Empire - Danube Limes (western part)". These and other fantastic archaeological finds are presented in four permanent and yearly changing exhibitions in the Museum Quintana.
