Embossed parade helmet of brass with figure of Victory and Cupid driving a chariot led by leopards, from the Roman site at Newstead (Trimontium), late 1st century AD

Use

This helmet would have been used in the parade ground, however may have also been used in battle.

Context

Found in Pit XXII during the excavations of James Curle.
