Arkaeologi langs motorvejen mellem Fløng og Roskilde (Archaeology along the Highway between Fløng and Roskilde)
Description
6000 år i grøften (6000 years in the ditch) tells the story of the excavations of the M11 (the Holbæk Motorway, in 2009), the area was surveyed for ancient monuments based on the provisions of the Museums Act. Archaeologists from Kroppedal Museum and Roskilde Museum were given the opportunity to examine and document how generations before us have left their mark on the landscape, whether it be burial mounds erected on hilltops as powerful monuments or farms built in relation to the area's natural resources. All of this contains stories that go back thousands of years, and which are now erased from the terrain, but stored in the museums' archives and magazines and told in this book.
