Der römische Vicus Aquae Helveticae, Baden (Roman Vicus of Aquae Helveticae, Baden)Description
Aquae Helveticae was a Roman settlement (vicus) in what is now the city of Baden, Switzerland. It was founded shortly after the turn of the millennium, when legionaries from the Vindonissa camp, began using the thermal springs on the Limmat River and built thermal baths. A settlement of traders and craftsmen grew up around the thermal baths, which lasted until around the beginning of the 5th century.
