Von den Agri Decumates zum LImes Dacius reports on a trip to Romania in late 1993 and provides an insight into the state of provincial Roman research including; the well-preserved forts and civilian settlements from the Roman period and the wealth of finds at the archaeological sites of Roman Dacia. The report draws attention to the new opportunities that arise from international cooperation for provincial Roman archaeology, for example in the form of a project on comparative Limes research. This booklet marks the beginning of a new publication series from the Saalburg Museum, the Saalburg-Schriften, which aims to bring the topics of Roman archaeology closer to a broad audience in a understandable form.Category
