This research is the result of an interdisciplinary and collegial collaboration between a wide variety of participants. The original plan was to present at least one excavation section in detail in this work. We chose the 1979 Kaiseraugst-Bireten/Neubau Haberl excavation, not only because it contained the highest concentration of military artifacts, but also because an internal provisional report on the findings was available from that excavation. Unfortunately, our efforts to have this manuscript prepared for publication proved futile. The excavation results from Kaiseraugst-Bireten/"Haberl" can still be presented, supplemented by a streamlined evaluation of the find material by the author.Category
