Nearly the entire collection featured crucibles with grayish paste tempered with sand, a grayish interior slip, and a tan gray exterior flecked with black. These were likely crucibles made from what was called “fireclay” However, three other variations were observed, including sherds from a heavy, brittle vessel tempered with graphite.Created By
