Two purple 3¢ Thomas Jefferson stamps (totaling 6¢) showing his profile and labeled in the top right corner: United States Postage. Below that it reads: Thomas Jefferson 1801-1804. In the center bottom it reads: Cents with the number 3 on either side. By the stamps and in the postmark waves is written AIR MAIL
Over the postmark it is handwritten AIRMAIL. Also stamped on the front of the envelope in purple ink, it reads, "Missent to Gas City, Ind.
