Postcard from Pvt. John C. Schmalzried to Mr. Arthur Haupert, postmarked Aug. 9, 1942 at
Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indianapolis, IN.
On the front of the postcard is a cartoon type drawing showing three curvy sun bathing females on a beach with palm fronds and a sand bucket and shovel. Along the beach is a road with five jeeps with soldiers in each one ogling the sunbathers. In the top left corner its reads, "Lots of Beautiful Scenery Here".
On the back of the postcard is writing by the sender along with the address for the recipient. Postcard is postmarked and stamped with "Buy Defense Savings Bonds and Stamps".
