Bear (Postmarked Aug 20, 1943 | 10:00AM) Postmark on envelope reads: US Navy, Aug. 20, 1943 | 10:00AM There is no stamp but envelope does have postmark waves. Above them is hand written Free in Pencil. Return address on envelope is: Robert M. Bear F1/c Ptn 6619 Area D5-113 Camp Peary Williamsburg, Va Send to address is: Mrs. John L. Bear 475 W. Hill St. Wabash, Ind On the back of the envelop is a second postmark reading: 53 Chicago 8 22 1943 ___2 ILL Letter is written on plain white paper. At the top is letterhead showing the emblem of the SeaBees (a flying bumblebee shooting a machine gun). Around the emblem in a circle is a rope and in behind everything are crossed anchors. Underneath it reads U.S. Naval Construction Training Center, Camp Peary, Williamsburg, Virginia Paper is hand written and one page in length. Written on both sides.
