Letter - Robert Milner Bear to Mom, Mrs. John L. Bear (Postmarked Nov. 29, 1943 | 11:00AM) Postmark on envelope reads: US Navy, Nov. 29, 1943 | 11:00AM Red 6¢ Air Mail stamp in the top right with approx. 1/4 torn off when the envelope was opened on the side. Picture on the stamp is of a DC3 in flight from in front and below showing part of this front and underside. Across the bottom of the stamp it reads: United States Postage. Right above that is Air 6¢ Mail with cents written below the number six. The word "Airmail" is written diagonally across the bottom left corner of the stamp. Letter is written on lightweight paper with a USO flag in the top right corner and on the bottom the names of the Young Men's Christian Association, the National Catholic Community Service, the Salvation Army, the Young Women's Christian Association, the Jewish Welfare Board and the National Travellers Aid Association. It is hand written, unlined and two pages in length and written on both sides.
