Red 6¢ Air Mail stamp in the top right with approx. 1/3 torn off when the envelope was opened on the side. Picture on the stamp is of a DC3 in flight from in front and below showing part of this front and underside. Across the bottom of the stamp it reads: United States Postage. Right above that is Air 6¢ Mail with cents written below the number six.
Letter is written on plain white paper with a golden eagle an shield with crossed anchors. Underneath it reads United States Navy. It is hand written, unlined and one page in length and written on both sides.
