Robert Edward Stetekluh B: 28 Sep 1924 D: 9 Jul 2017 (aged 92) Arlington, Arlington County, Virginia, USA He graduated in 1945 from the United States Military Academy, West Point. He served in the US Army for 21 years, retiring with the rank of LTC. He served during WWII in the occupation of Germany in the 60th and 26th Infantry Regiments. After serving in the 3rd Infantry Regiment at Fort McNair, he transferred to the Quartermaster Corps. He was the commissary officer at West Point and later served in the 8th Army in Korea. He earned a Masters degree from Cornell University. He served in the 7th Army in Germany, the 1st Armored Division and 3rd Corps in Fort Hood. His last assignment in the Army was as Deputy Inspector General of the European Exchange Service. Following his military career, he was a mathematics teacher for junior and senior high school in Alexandria, VA for 22 years. He was predeceased by his wife of 68 years, Ann Stetekluh, whom he met while serving in the Army in Germany. He was survived by his daughter; two sons; a daughter-in-law; and five grandchildren.
